You obviously won’t forget to carry your passport, visa and your ticket when you’re heading overseas for a business trip, right? But there are changes you might forget to carry some important stuff in your travel bag. So, here’s a list of essentials…
Make copies of your passport and tickets and keep them in a safe place in your luggage. In the unlikely events that your passport is stolen, a copy will speed up the replacement process. It’s also a good idea to carry your telephone diary, you never know what emergency call you might have to make.
Voltage Converter and Plug Adapters
Your laptop, mobile, camera, shaver and other electronic devices will no doubt, need plug adapters. Some hair dryer, camera, mobile and laptop chargers are dual voltage, but remember others need a voltage converter. So, check the label on each item you plan to carry along. If it says ‘Input 100v-240v 50/60Hz,’ the item is dual voltage and only needs a plug adapter.
While you may mock at foreigners arming themselves with pills before coming to India, your health is no laughing matter. Imagine the ordeal of finding a pharmacy in a foreign country when you are down with fever or an upset tummy. Besides your regular medication, also make sure that you carry along some antiseptics, antibiotics and pain killers with you.
Your 5 star may or may not provide this. And after all, how much space would a hair dryer occupy in your bag? Well, hardly any space. And even better, it’ll save you from a bad hair day. Just imagine having your tresses well set in a new place and making it more manageable? Sounds good, doesn’t it? So, make sure you carry a dryer. Trust us, you won’t regret lugging it around the world.
You don’t want to worry about unwanted hair when you are out on a business tour, do you? If not, ensure that you always have an epilator or a shaving kit in your travel bag. It’ll help you look presentable at all times.
You will need laundered clothes everyday on your business trip, won’t you? All right, now just in case you’re thinking, ‘Why will I bother about laundered clothes, anyway I’ll be carrying ironed clothes in my bag.’ Agreed! But supposing your trip gets extended, then what? You’ll need to repeat clothes. And we’re sure you wouldn’t want to do that. Don’t forget that a hotel’s laundry is ridiculously expensive. So, it’s better to keep an iron in your travel bag.
