Attractions: Buenos Aires has got fantastic architectural specimens through out the city. Casa Rosada or the Pink House with its beautiful pink exterior is situated near the eastern side of the Plaza de Mayo. It is actually the Presidential Palace. The architectural beauty of Casa Rosada is really eye-catching. Palacio Haedo is a beautiful neo-gothic palace of Buenos Aires. It was the house of the Haedo Family in the 19th century.
Today it has been transformed into the country’s national park service centre. Palacio San Martin was designed by Alejandro Christophersen and this awesome palace was made for the Anchorena family. There are three beautiful buildings around the courtyard made of stone.
Coming here one can see fantastic marble staircases, grand drawing rooms, large dining halls and old furniture. At the beautiful garden one can also see a portion of the great Berlin Wall. There is also a small but nice museum. At the museum one can see pre-Columbian artefacts, art objects and paintings of famous Latin American artists. One can easily aail guided tours here.
Palais de Glace is an amazing place where one can see variety of cultural, historical and artistic exhibitions at the same time. One should not miss to see the second floor of the palace. Towards the end of the 19th century dangerous yellow fever hit San Telmo. After that period many of the ancient mansions of the area were turned into ‘conventillos’ or better say ‘tenements’. One of them was Pasaje de la Defensa. Today it has become a nice building with fantastic antique shops and other attractions. Tourists love to visit this place.
