Cheap Charlie’s Bar, Bangkok – Enjoy Drinks and Food

Thailand, a country bordered by Laos, Myanmar (Burma), Vietnam and The Indian Ocean, is famous for its very friendly and affable people.  Thailand has a predominantly Buddhist population. Bangkok is the capital of Thailand and here, all the fun of nightlife, is concentrated.  There are many bars, pubs, places of entertainment; discos, music halls, cabarets etc.

Cheap Charlie’s Bar is, as the name implies, cheap – damn cheap.  The drinks, food and services are cheap compared to other bars and pubs on the street.  It is easy to get there, from Bangkok.  It is on Sukhumvit Soi II Street, only around 9 km from Bangkok.  You can reach there by taxi or by rail.  If you like the rail ride drop at the BTS SkyTrain Nana Station and walk down to Sukhumvit Soi.

Those who like a bustling nightlife, it is the place.  Because it is always busy with lots of tourists teeming about.  Cheap Charlie’s Bar won’t be difficult to locate because many foreigners frequent it.  It is not the place for the easy going, calm and relaxed, people; because you won’t even get a place to sit to enjoy your drink.

Cheap Charlie’s Bar lacks comfort, but it is more than compensated by the friendly and lively atmosphere.  People get into conversations and become friends over drinks.  A place with hard wood seats and wobbly tables: that is Cheap Charlie’s Bar.  You can call it an open-air bar because it has no roof.

You can have any drinks for just 50 baht (nearly a pound).  You can say Cheap Charlie is similar to a roadside fast food joint.  Only a yellow line marks the boundary between the shop and the road.   The bar is decorated with a lot of odd items; water buffalo skulls, colored lights, decorative lights, tortoise shells etc.

Cheap Charlie’s bar is the home of sexy sunsets, notorious nightlife, and roof top bar with backpacker lodge. The bar is specialized in seafood, fish fry, prime rib, steaks and many more. This is also a nice venue for parties. Lastly one can say that there is not any way that could explain this bar and place, you have to drop by.
