Just as the sweet note of its name lingers on you ear, a visit to Darlington will linger in your memory for even a longer time. In fact, it may help you to know that Heighington village, on the outskirts of Darlington, has been named Britain’s Best Village by BBC TV.

At the same time, Darlington is also a shopper’s and diner’s delight. The Cornmill Shopping Centre is the most favorite shopping destination in the town. But you will find an array of local small shops, dealing in locally made craft boutiques and other wares, just the perfect little gifts for your dear ones.
