Monaco, the tiny European nation, has certainly made a name for itself for being the place where the rich & famous of the world come to enjoy luxurious vacations and indulge themselves. Home to some of the wealthiest people in the world, luxury yachts, private jets and exclusive designer shopping are all part of the daily life of the crème de la crème of Monaco.

The district of Monte Carlo in Monaco is famous for the Monte Carlo casino. For those who have the relaxation and want to spend it in style, Monte Carlo is the place to be. Everything from luxury hotels to luxury designer brands like Gucci and Hermes have opened shops to cater to their patrons.

An evening spent at the beautifully-built Monte Carlo casino can set you back by a few thousand dollars, so do check your bank account before placing your bets. The Hotel de Paris is another landmark in luxury and offers 5 star accommodations.

Monte Carlo has lots of scope for the traveler on a budget as well. Beautiful roadside bistros with divine European delicacies on offer are a good place to spend a sunny afternoon.

The cuisines on offer consist of Italian, French and local specialties such as barbajuans - a rice, leek, spinach, and cheese appetizer or try fougasse -- mouth-watering pastry, flavored with the taste of orange water, aniseed and almonds.

The floating palaces at the Port Hercules are too marvelous to look at and explore. Wander in the meandering streets of quaint Monaco Ville for a feel of the slower side of Monaco.

Take a sail at the Mediterranean coast or spend a tranquil afternoon enjoying the sights and refreshing natural beauty of the Princess Grace Rose garden. You can also head to the Japanese Garden for a Zen like soothing experience. . Monaco too looks very beautiful by night time alongside its brilliantly lit lanes.

Blessed with warm, Mediterranean weather for typically 300 days of the year, Monaco is truly a place that must not be avoided and one must, at least, visit it once in their lifetime to live life like a king.
