New Zealand is paradise on an island. It is comprised of north island, south island and numerous other islands. Though it is isolated geographically, New Zealand has plenty of visitors travelling to it all year round.
Tourism being the main export of this country, it definitely possesses more viewing-pleasures than one can expect.
New Zealand is the most salubrious place for a romantic getaway. There are plenty of places for romance here. Though, it could be said that the whole of New Zealand is romantic, yet there are some places that offer blissful romantic energy.
To start off, you have to head to the North Island. The North Island houses twelve cities. Auckland, Hamilton, and Wellington are among these. More than three-fourth of the New Zealand population is concentrated in the North Island.
North Island is known for its pristine and innocent forests. There are plenty of volcanic mountains out here as well. North Island is home to New Zealand’s largest lake called Lake Taupo. Located in the Waikato region, this lake spans over six hundred kilometers in surface area. The lake is located on a crater that was caused by a volcanic eruption over twenty six thousand years back.
When in North Island, you shouldn’t miss going to Tongariro National Park. This park is a world heritage site. Being the home to Maori culture, this park houses vital indigenous footprints. Well known for its disposition created by volcanoes, one can’t help but being captured in a pre-historic charm here.
That’s because, it is a place of extreme geographical features. Some of the places are so carved by nature, that you will never forget this place. To get to this place is easy. There are plenty of transport services available from anywhere in North Island to get here. Another interesting thing you can do here is skiing. If the season permits, you can go skiing on Mount Ruapehu.
After seeing North Island, you must definitely visit South Island. South Island is much larger than North Island. With lots of great beaches, and snow-crowned mountains to explore, South Island is as romantic as any place in New Zealand.
