Many shops in Shanghai sell antique goods. One great example of such place is the Dong Tai Road Antique market. It remains open from morning to sunset every day. You will find different types of antiques here, though all of them may not be authentic.

China, especially Shanghai, has some of the best collections of pearls. This becomes apparent when you visit markets like Pearl’s circles – the wholesale market for fresh water, and sea water pearls, stones and crystal. An even bigger market of pearl is Hong Qiao New World Pearl market. However, in both these places, you will have to bargain hard to get the best deals.

Yatai Xinyang Fashion and Gift Market, and the Shanghai Longhua Fashion and Gift Market have a wide range of toys, jewelries, clothing, and other gift items. You will find a lot of interesting souvenirs at a cheap price.

Sanghai South Bund and Shiliu Puhong Qixiang are two major markets in Shanghai for clothes and fabrics. Apart from that, you will find markets for flowers, insects, birds as well as for shoes and anything that you need.
