Changi International Airport in Singapore is serviced by all the major airlines of the world including the national carrier Singapore Airlines and the renowned Thai Airways.

Tourists will face no difficulty in reaching their destinations as there are lots of taxis, transit trains and maxi cabs.

Where to Stay

There are lots of hotels across Singapore that will suit every budget and every pocket. The range of hotels is from budget level to the modern, high class ones. There are a lot of good places but the most notable among them are Peninsula Excelsior Hotel on Coleman Road and The Elizabeth Hotel on Orchard hotel.

Both of these hotels are very popular with tourists as they are moderately priced. But for whom budget is not a problem there are choices galore. But the most standout hotels are Ascot Raffles Place and Good wood Park. There are a number of good quality guest houses which are located on Beach Road and its adjoining areas.

Shopping

Singapore is often referred to as the “Shopper’s Paradise”. There are n numbers of malls dotting the Singapore skyline. The best places to shop are Orchard Road, Marina Square and Chinatown. You can buy a lot of antiques of Chinese, Filipino and Malay origin.

The other things to buy are Batik, camera, Chinese & Persian carpets, apparels, jewelry and shoes. Singapore is probably the best place to buy your electronics after Bangkok. There are a number of shopping malls in Singapore like Wisma Atria, Ngee Ann City and Mustafa which are hugely popular among foreign travelers.

Dining

You will not find any city in the world which comes remotely close to Singapore when it comes to diversity in food. From roadside eateries to plush restaurants in five star hotels, Singapore has it all. The country offers all types of cuisines like Chinese, American, Indian, French, Italian and Malay. There are a number of local dishes which are liked even by tourists.

Some of the local delicacies are Beef in coconut milk, chilly crab, satay, fruits and vegetables in peanut sauce and non-vegetarian rice noodles in soy sauce. There are a number of beverages which are unique in Singapore and it will be a good idea to try them all.
