Philadelphia is a combination of beautiful architecture, culture, enchanting surroundings, museums, and has a bundle of four centuries of rich history. All these attributes make it an ideal place for a holiday. There is a guide to things to see and do in Philadelphia on vacation.

Some of the interesting places that one can visit in Philadelphia include the National constitution center that provides the detailed presentation on the US constitutions with a special section that focuses on children.

In addition to it, there is an adventure aquarium which offers an opportunity of entertainment as well as education, such that one can explore variegated wild and marine life in it. This is an ideal spot for families on holiday. Then there is American Helicopter museum which has nice collection of vintage helicopters.

Near the Independence hall one can visit the American philosophical society museum that includes the first national museum, national library and the science academy. Other interesting monuments include the American Swedish historical museum and the Arch street friends meeting house.

The most important attraction of Philadelphia includes the Independence hall where one can know about the American history. This hall is open throughout the year and tour is conducted by the national park rangers. Here one can also see the house of congress and the house of senate.


In the close by building one can also see the original draft of the constitution and the original inkstand that was used to sign the constitution. At the walking distance from the Independence hall one can see the Liberty bell center, where one can find the liberty bell.

Again, this center is open throughout the year and the admission to this center is for free. So keep your camera ready to click all the significant attributes associated with this bell.

From the liberty bell center one can walk to the independence visitor center which offers presentations, souvenir shopping opportunities, etc., to its visitors. Philadelphia also has a beautiful valley national historical park.

There are number of walking, bus and horse carriage tours available in Philadelphia. SO take the tour, and know about the city through someone who knows it better and enjoy!
