Republic Togo is in western Africa on the Atlantic Ocean coast of the Gulf of Guinea in south; bordered by Upper Volta, Ghana towards the west and Benin in east. Togo is quite small and is sandwiched between Ghana and Benin. The coast of Guinea is only 66 km long.

The nation is composed of Ewe, Mina, Wachi, Cabrais and Europeans. Islamic and Christianity are the two faith followed here. The official language is French and the local dialect ewe and kabyle. Some of the bigger cities are Sokode and Kpalime.

Highest elevation is Mount Agou at 1200 m. Chief River is Mono and Oti. The nation’s capital, Lome is located on the Gulf of Benin. German, Portuguese, and British culture exist in the buildings and the outlay of the city. However, the city is well equipped with modern hotels. The markets of antiquity origin sell antidote and sculptured figures to keep evil at bay.

The southern part is low-lying, the northern interior is a savannas. There is tropical rain forest in belts. The nation is criss-crossed in the middle by hill ranges called Atkora Mountains.
