Trinidad And Tobago
In the southern Caribbean is the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago – two individual islands that form one state. Port of Spain is the capital of this country that has much diversity in terms of nature, attractions and facilities. Both islands have unique characters and the more one explores, the more remains to be seen and enjoyed.
Although the islands have witnessed a rather bitter past with slavery, invasion and foreign rule, their independence in 1962 from the British rule brought freedom in every aspect. The islands have thriving industries. The big sister Trinidad is well known for its oil and gas production; Tobago, the little sister, is high in tourism.
Beauty of nature abounds in plenty here – beaches, woods, lakes – including the Pitch Lake, which is the world’s largest reservoir of asphalt – rainforests, oceans ideal for diving. This and much more is part of the appeal of Trinidad and Tobago.
Trinidad

Bird lovers are in for a treat in Trinidad, the larger and more industrial half of the country that comprises Trinidad and Tobago. Many colorful birds and some rare ones too can be viewed in the forests and bird sanctuaries.
One of the highlights of Trinidad is the Carnival – a grand event with lively music that keeps you on your feet with its foot tapping rhythm. For the outdoor adventure enthusiasts, hiking and biking provide a much-needed respite from urban pressures.
Tobago
Though smaller, Tobago has a lot to offer its visitors in terms of enjoyment and natural beauty. This island lies outside the hurricane belt, and primarily consists of wild, hilly areas. Tobago is a good island to indulge in your favorite water-sports. Diving is another of the popular attractions of this island as the diving sites here are considered to be among the best in the

Hurricane Flora, in 1963, caused a lot of damage and transformed the face of Tobago in terms of industry – tourism became the main source of revenue, replacing plantations that were destroyed.
The islands of Trinidad and Tobago, distinct as they are from each other, offer visitors a fun-filled experience together.
