Jamaica is a really nice destination for holidays. When the word Jamaica comes to mind, all one can think about is waving palm trees, white sand beaches, the sun, turquoise water, etc.

Jamaica is an island in the Caribbean Sea. It is also the third largest island in the Caribbean Sea. The official language which is spoken in Jamaica is English. It has a population of about 2.5 million. And mostly African people are found there. Many people from other countries also reside in Jamaica.

Out of all the religions, Christianity is the most followed religion. Jamaica is also famous for its music culture. There are many types of music festivals. Many famous singers were also born in Jamaica. In short, it is a favorite destination of many travelers.

There are many reasons to visit Jamaica. The weather in Jamaica is gorgeous. The weather is not too hot and not too cold. Hence, you can get in your swimming costumes and enjoy the sunny beaches. There are so many beaches in Jamaica that you will get confused in selecting one.

The best thing is that many beaches have hotels located near them. There are many activities you can do on the beaches. You can do snorkeling, scuba diving, or just lazily lay in the beaches. While scuba diving or snorkeling, you can enjoy the coral reefs and many varieties of fishes, which are present underwater.

Faith’s Pen – this place is located on the main route from Spanish Town to Ocho Rios. It is a really nice place where travelers can rest on their way to or from Spanish town. There are more than thirty stalls with a large variety of Jamaican food. There are varieties like jerk pork, chicken, fried fish, boiled or roasted corns, soup and much more.

Devon House – it is a large mansion and has an interesting history. This house was built in 1881. George Steibel was the one who made it and he was the first black millionaire of Jamaica.

Blue Mountain Peak – this is a really beautiful place. It is at a height of seven thousand feet. You can also plan a trekking of a cycling tour here. These are some of the places you should visit in Jamaica. There are many more places also. Jamaica is a really nice place and you can experience many new things here.
